CANON CLUB EXCLUSIVE PRIZE DRAW (September 2024)

1. CANON AND PARTICIPANTS

1.1. This free prize draw (“Canon Club Prize Draw”) is run by Canon Europa N.V., 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 1185 XB, The Netherlands (“Canon”). Any company, any subsidiary, partnership or other entity which from time to time is controlled by or is under common control of Canon hereinafter will be referred to as “Canon Affiliate” and, Canon and Canon Affiliate together will be referred to as "Canon Group".
1.2. All entrants (“Participants”) must be aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia, South Africa and Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates.
1.3. Employees of Canon, its subsidiary companies, their families, agents and other parties directly involved with this promotion and the sponsorship are not eligible to enter.
1.4. By entering this free Canon Club Prize Draw, all Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions of the Prize Draw unless notified otherwise in writing.


2. PRIZE DRAW AND HOW TO PARTICIPATE

2.1. The Canon Club Prize Draw is open to all valid Canon Club members, including existing members and those who sign up to the Canon Club and provide their consent to enter into the Prize Draw within the Registration Period for the Prize Draw (which is open from 00:00 12th September 2024 and closes on 23:59 30th September 2024).
2.2. New Canon Club Members will be provided with an option to enter the Prize Draw at the point they accept the Terms and Conditions for their Canon Club Membership within the Registration Period.
2.3. Existing members must enter to participate in this Prize Draw and can do so either through Canon’s email communication regarding the Prize Draw (which will be sent to their registered email addresses for the Canon Club) or through Canon Club.
2.4. The Prize Draw to pick the four (4) winners will take place between 1st October 2024 to 2nd October 2024.
2.5. Four winners (each a “Winner”) will be randomly drawn from all valid entries (who meet the qualifying criteria) received during the Registration Period.
2.6. The Winners will be selected from all eligible entries using a random number generator and the Winners’ entry confirmed by Canon.
2.7. Only one entry per person is allowed and each Winner can only receive one (1) Prize.
2.8. Only one Entry per Canon Club member is permitted, and this cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion.
2.9. Entries received after expiry of the Registration Period will not be eligible to be entered into the Prize Draw. Canon reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, invalid, inappropriate or illegible entries.
2.10. If a Participant wishes to 1) withdraw from this Prize Draw or 2) withdraw their consent for Canon to use their personal data for the purposes of administering this Prize Draw they can do so by sending their request in the webform. However, they will forfeit their entry to the Prize Draw.


3. THE PRIZES

The Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash or credit alternatives will be substituted for the Prizes on offer. If the Prize offered (or part of the Prize offered) is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Canon reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

3.1. The first and second winners selected from the Canon Club Prize Draw will each win a six (6) day long photography tour to Cabarceno wildlife park in Spain with Canon Ambassador Marina Cano (to take place on 9th – 14th December 2024).
3.2. The six (6) days Carbarceno wildlife park photography tour from the 9th to 14th December 2024 (approximate value of up to €10K in total) will include the following:
3.2.1. Return air tickets to Santander, Spain (economy class)
3.2.2. Accommodation
3.2.3. Full board
3.2.4. Daily photography shooting at Cabarceno wildlife park.
3.2.5. Local transport
3.2.6. Guides for the tour (which will be run as an English-speaking tour)
3.2.7. Entries to the wildlife park
3.2.8. A photo workshop with the Canon Ambassador to review the photographs taken by the Winners.
3.2.9. Limited travel insurance policy
3.2.10. Please note that the Winner must bring and take care of their own camera/photography equipment to be used on the tour.
3.2.11. Please note, there will be some walking between each of the shooting locations and please ensure you’ve read the itinerary prior to entry.

3.3. The third and fourth winners selected from the Canon Club Prize Draw will each win a 2 (two) day long photography/print workshop. The two (2) day long photography/print workshops will include the following:
3.3.1. It will be organised by Canon and a Canon Ambassador.
3.3.2. It may run in a face-to-face setting or as a virtual workshop.
3.3.3. The Winner will be responsible of bringing and taking care of their own camera/photography equipment.
3.3.4. The workshop will run for approximately two (2) hours on each day.
3.3.5. The date of the workshop will be determined upon the Canon Ambassador’s availability.
3.4. Winners are responsible for arranging their travel to and from the departure airport or departure point. Canon shall not be responsible for anything not expressly stated herein as included with the Prizes. Any additional costs incurred, including transportation to and from the departure airport, meals (other than specified), and personal expenses (including medical expenses, and any other activities undertaken by the Winners in their free time) are each Winner’s sole responsibility.
3.5. The exact date and time of travel, including hotels and flights (as well as the relevant Canon Ambassador) is subject to change and availability and will be finalised once the Winners have been selected. A full finalised itinerary will be shared with winners ahead of travelling.
3.6. All passengers must have a valid passport to travel and must meet all relevant visa and/or other entry requirements, including any medical/health screening requirements or similar.
3.7. For the avoidance of doubt, Canon will not be responsible for organising any visas, or for any other elements of the Prize, and these are the sole responsibilities of the Winners.
3.8. In the event the winner is unable to travel due to visa or other personal circumstances, no alternative tickets will be issued, and no compensation or other Prize will be provided. The Winner must abide by and are subject to the relevant airline’s published conditions of carriage. The Winner must inform Canon of any wheelchair or any similar access needs. The Winner will not be entitled to any compensation and will have no claim against Canon if the trip, workshops or any other event forming part of the Prize is delayed, postponed, rescheduled or cancelled.
3.9. Photographs, snapshots and videos may be taken during the tour. Winners are recommended to upload the photos/video in their social media (if applicable) by tagging Canon. Canon will upload those photos/videos in the Canon Club community and other promotion channels.

4. THE SELECTION

4.1. Canon will contact the Winners as soon as practicable after 2nd October 2024 via the email address submitted during the sign up to Canon Club to obtain delivery details and the date of prize delivery for the relevant Prize.
4.2. If any Prize is rejected or unclaimed by a Winner within 5 working days of Canon’s attempt to make contact by email, the original announced Winner will forfeit their Prize.
4.3. The Prize may be awarded to other entrants at the absolute and sole discretion of Canon.
4.4. The Prize is provided to the Winner in good faith by Canon. If a winner is unable to accept the Prize for any reason, then Canon must be notified as soon as possible.

5. PERSONAL DATA

5.1. Any personal data submitted to Canon will be processed by Canon and its agents or associated group companies for the purpose of administering this Canon Club Prize Draw.
5.2. Participants may be contacted by Canon for the purposes of administrating the Canon Club Prize Draw or in the event that Canon wishes to discuss any other use of the information submitted to the Canon Club Prize Draw.
5.3. Participants who have provided consent for their personal data to be used by Canon for the purposes of facilitating this prize draw, may withdraw such consent using the method listed in clause 2.10. Please note, this will forfeit your entry into this prize draw. 5.4. Canon Europa N.V., 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 1185 XB, The Netherlands (“Canon”) is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants.
5.5. The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the UK and the EEA. For further details on how Participants’ information is protected please see the Canon Consumer Privacy Policy

6. DISCLAIMER

6.1. In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void the Prize and/or change other promotional conditions provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.
6.2. Canon reserves the right to refuse to honour any entry or to recover the full value of any Prize if it considers there has been an abuse or breach of the terms and conditions of this Canon Club Prize Draw.
6.3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these Terms shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon Group’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of its employees or contractors.
6.4. In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of the rules on any matter related to the Canon Club Prize Draw, the decision of the Directors of Canon is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6.5. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Entrants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way.
6.6. If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. LAW AND JURISDICTION

As you are a participating consumer, laws of your country of residence will apply to this competition, and You may be entitled to bring court proceedings in your own language and in your local courts. A local consumer advice organization will be able to advise you on your rights. These Terms do not restrict any statutory rights that may be applicable.
