1.1. This free prize draw (“Canon Club Prize Draw”) is run by Canon Europa N.V., 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 1185 XB, The Netherlands (“Canon”). Any company, any subsidiary, partnership or other entity which from time to time is controlled by or is under common control of Canon hereinafter will be referred to as “Canon Affiliate” and, Canon and Canon Affiliate together will be referred to as "Canon Group".

1.2. All entrants (“Participants”) must be aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, South Africa, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates.

1.3. Employees of Canon, its subsidiary companies, their families, agents and other parties directly involved with this promotion and the sponsorship are not eligible to enter.

1.4. By entering this free Canon Club Prize Draw, all Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions of the Prize Draw unless notified otherwise in writing.

2.1. The Canon Club Prize Draw is open to all valid Canon Club members, including existing members and those who sign up to the Canon Club and provide their consent to enter into the Prize Draw within the Registration Period for the Prize Draw (which is open from 00:00 12th December 2024 and closes on 23:59 31st December 2024).

2.2. New Canon Club Members will be provided with an option to enter the Prize Draw at the point they accept the Terms and Conditions for their Canon Club Membership within the Registration Period (on https://account.canon.co.za/s/my-products).

2.3. Existing members must enter to participate in this Prize Draw and can do so either through Canon’s email communication regarding the Prize Draw (which will be sent to their registered email addresses for the Canon Club) or through Canon Club platform https://account.canon.co.za/s/.

2.4. The Prize Draw to pick the four (4) winners will take place between 2nd January 2025 to 3rd January 2025.

2.5. Four winners (each a “Winner”) will be randomly drawn from all valid entries and the prizes will be allocated in order from the draw from all entries who meet the qualifying criteria during the Registration Period.

2.6. The Winners will be selected from all eligible entries using a random number generator and the Winners’ entry confirmed by Canon.

2.7. Only one entry per person is allowed and each Winner can only receive one (1) Prize.

2.8. Only one Entry per Canon Club member is permitted, and this cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion.

2.9. Entries received after expiry of the Registration Period will not be eligible to be entered into the Prize Draw. Canon reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, invalid, inappropriate or illegible entries.

2.10. If a Participant wishes to 1) withdraw from this Prize Draw or 2) withdraw their consent for Canon to use their personal data for the purposes of administering this Prize Draw they can do so by sending their request in the webform. However, they will forfeit their entry to the Prize Draw.

3. The Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash or credit alternatives will be substituted for the Prizes on offer. If the Prize offered (or part of the Prize offered) is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Canon reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

3.1. To be entered into the Canon Club Prize Draw to win one of four prizes
(“the Prizes” when referred to collectively or “the Prize” individually), Participant must comply with the Canon Club prize draw terms and conditions.

3.2. The four prizes are:
First prize: Canon EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera + RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM Len (value approximately at €2,899)
Second prize: Canon EOS R7 Mirrorless Camera + RF-S 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM Lens (value approximately at €1,849)
Third prize: Canon PIXMA TS7750i (value approximately at €159.99)
Fourth prize: Canon PIXMA TS7650i (value approximately at €129.99)

4.1. Canon will contact the Winners as soon as practicable after 4th January 2025 via the email address submitted during the sign up to Canon Club to obtain delivery details and the date of prize delivery for the relevant Prize.

4.2. If any Prize is rejected or unclaimed by a Winner within 7 working days of Canon’s attempt to make contact by email, the original announced Winner will forfeit their Prize.

4.3. The Prize may be awarded to other entrants at the absolute and sole discretion of Canon.

4.4. The Prize is provided to the Winner in good faith by Canon. If a winner is unable to accept the Prize for any reason, then Canon must be notified as soon as possible.

5.1. Any personal data submitted to Canon will be processed by Canon and its agents or associated group companies for the purpose of administering this Canon Club Prize Draw.

5.2. Participants may be contacted by Canon for the purposes of administrating the Canon Club Prize Draw or in the event that Canon wishes to discuss any other use of the information submitted to the Canon Club Prize Draw.

5.3. Participants who have provided consent for their personal data to be used by Canon for the purposes of facilitating this prize draw, may withdraw such consent using the method listed in clause 2.10. Please note, this will forfeit your entry into this prize draw.

5.4. Canon Europa N.V., 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 1185 XB, The Netherlands (“Canon”) is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants.

5.5. The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the UK and the EEA. For further details on how Participants’ information is protected please see the Canon Consumer Privacy Policy

6.1. In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void the Prize and/or change other promotional conditions provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.

6.2. Canon reserves the right to refuse to honour any entry or to recover the full value of any Prize if it considers there has been an abuse or breach of the terms and conditions of this Canon Club Prize Draw.

6.3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these Terms shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon Group’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of its employees or contractors.

6.4. In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of the rules on any matter related to the Canon Club Prize Draw, the decision of the Directors of Canon is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6.5. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Entrants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way.

6.6. If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

As you are a participating consumer, laws of your country of residence will apply to this competition, and You may be entitled to bring court proceedings in your own language and in your local courts. A local consumer advice organization will be able to advise you on your rights. These Terms do not restrict any statutory rights that may be applicable.
